Jose Pablo Leone, MD

Dr. Jose Pablo Leone is a medical oncologist and clinical investigator in the Breast Oncology Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on improving individualized treatment decision-making by quantifying heterogeneity in treatment benefit and long-term outcomes across breast cancer, with focused applications in settings where uncertainty and extrapolation are greatest, including male breast cancer and breast cancer brain metastases.

His research integrates clinical trial data, translational analyses, and population-based research to develop evidence frameworks that inform patient-level decisions and guide clinical trial design. He has developed and leads the clinical and research efforts in male breast cancer at Dana-Farber, spanning a prospective, investigator-initiated, multicenter clinical trial (ETHAN), as well as studies of tumor genomics, prognosis, and treatment patterns and outcomes in this understudied population.
