Biography
Virginia O. Volpe, MD
Dr. Volpe is a medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and served as Chief Resident in 2018. Dr. Volpe completed her fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and Research Institute/USF Morsani School of Medicine and served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Volpe cares for patients with myeloid malignancies including myelodysplastic neoplasms, myeloproliferative neoplasms, acute and chronic leukemias, and systemic mastocytosis. She also cares for patients with precursor states to hematologic malignancies including CHIP, CCUS, and MBL. Dr. Volpe's clinical research focuses on clinical trial development, prevention and progression of these diseases as well as patient outcomes.
