My name is Jane Savas. I am newer resident of Boston but have lived in Massachusetts for over 23 years. I am currently employed at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a client associate. Before embarking in finance, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and spent my initial post-grad years as a successful technical sales person. Eventually came marriage, children and a busy second career as a full-time wife, mother of six and active member of various boards serving the education and community organizations related to family life.
Like most of us, I too have been impacted by cancer. I have personally known several people who have been treated by Dana-Farber at both the Boston and satellite sites. One of whom was my close friend’s young son eventually taken by leukemia.
Additionally, my husband is a serial CEO entrepreneur with a focus on degenerative brain disorders: Parkinson’s and dementia. My understanding of biomedical research, clinicians and patients in the medical space coupled with my technical experience would be added benefit to your board.
Outside of work, I focus my time on my family and enjoy travel, running, and skiing. In my Back Bay neighborhood, I enjoy the arts and culture at the museums, fine dining and walking the Charles River Esplanade with my pooch.
I would be honored to be part of your board of directors and dedicated to helping continue the "Friends" mission.
