Nutrition Tip
There may not be a candy bar in this Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana Shake recipe, but it sure does taste like a delicious treat. The combination of sweetness from ripe bananas, rich flavors of creamy peanut butter, and the micronutrients from the wheat germ provides a healthy creation.
Wheat germ is the most vitamin- and mineral-rich part of the wheat kernel. A little bit of wheat germ can go a long way in terms of providing important health-promoting nutrients to the body. For example, just two tablespoons of wheat germ provides about 15% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin E and 10% of the daily folate. Consider adding wheat germ into your diet by sprinkling it over cereal, stirring it into yogurt, or mixing it into a smoothie.
