About the Gynecologic Oncology Program

  • The Gynecologic Oncology Program at the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers is a leader in research and care for patients with gynecologic cancer, including ovarian cancer, endometrial/uterine cancer, cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, and vaginal cancers, as well as gestational trophoblastic disease. We offer a seamless blend of medical, surgical, radiation, and pathology expertise and develop personalized approaches based on a woman’s specific type of cancer, whether it is early-stage or advanced.

  • Center for BRCA and Related Genes

Mutations in BRCA1, BRCA2, and BRCA-related genes confer increased risk of certain cancers when inherited. These mutations can also be acquired by the cancers themselves. The Center for BRCA and Related Genes provides comprehensive care for patients with inherited and acquired mutations, including clinical therapeutic trials, trials of risk-reducing strategies, and studies of novel early detection markers.
